Individuals
Have you received an Autonet link from your insurance company? This means you can skip going to a workshop to assess the damage on your car and instead we’ll assist you in finding the best workshop for your needs.

How it works

Step 1
Photograph the damage
When you click the link you’ve received via text, you’ll be guided through taking photos of the damage. When you do, it’s important that the car is clean and in daylight.

Step 2
Submit photos via Autonet
The images are sent to the most suitable workshop for the type of damage and your insurance, who will review them and assess the damage. If you already know what workshop you want to repair your car, you can select it manually.

Step 3
Digital assessment
Provided that the workshop can adequately assess the damage with the images, they’ll get back to you via text with an appointment to repair your car. Most customers receive this text within 24 hrs of submitting their images

Step 4
Immediate notice
If a physical inspection of the damage is necessary to adequately assess the damage, the workshop will get back to you via text to arrange the appointment.
Faster service
A more streamlined process to repair your car
When your insurance company uses Autonet you avoid a trip to the workshop to inspect the damage on your car and having to add another appointment to your busy week. Instead, you’ll take pictures of the damage at home at a time that suits you. You’ll receive clear, step-by-step guidance on how to take the images, and the whole process only takes a few minutes to complete.
The process is quicker and less stressful for you, and you don’t need to make any unnecessary trips. Additionally, you’ll have complete oversight of what information has been submitted and you’ll receive status updates via text.

Frequently asked questions

How do you decide which workshop will repair my car?
Based on the images you take, we evaluate which workshop could repair your car best and quickest. We prioritise that the workshop is close to you, has a short lead time, and responds quickly so that you’re back on the road as soon as possible. Insurance companies arrange thousands of car repairs every year, and therefore have access to robust data on which workshops are currently the best for each type of damage.
I already have a workshop I want to use – what should I do?
If you already have a workshop that you want to use, you can select it manually in our app once you’ve submitted the images.
I’ve completed the digital documentation, why do I still need to go in for a physical inspection?
Sometimes the workshop can’t adequately assess the damage on your car with photos. For example, it can be hard to tell how deep the damage is or if there’s any internal damage. In these cases, the workshop needs to physically inspect the car to ensure they can repair your car fully.
