The challenge is putting that knowledge into practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With Autonet&#8217;s workshop allocation, we combine your knowledge with our AI that can identify the damage and knows what will be required to repair the car to help the customer choose the best workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The core of the workshop allocation: Autonet&#8217;s AI decision engine<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When images are submitted for a digital damage inspection, our AI characterises the damage: how extensive it is, where on the car it&#8217;s located, and roughly what it would cost to repair. From that initial assessment, our decision engine evaluates which workshop is best suited to repair the damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We only take into consideration the parameters relevant to any given repair. If a repair would benefit from using a lot of used parts, it factors in which workshops are good at finding and implementing used parts and weights that more heavily. If not many used parts are available, that parameter is left out and other factors are prioritised instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You prioritise \u2014 we optimise: choose which factors matter most<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We can allocate cases based on any factors we have data for. For example: lead time, distance to the customer, average claim cost, whether the workshop tends to repair parts rather than replace them, the use of used parts, and specific skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the insurance company, you can choose which factors matter most to you and rank which should be prioritised when the cases are allocated, to align with your goals. Priorities can be adjusted by damage type and car make if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A user-friendly process: 90% of customers choose the workshop we recommend<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most important thing about Autonet&#8217;s workshop allocation isn&#8217;t the AI or how much insurance companies can prioritise in the allocation. All of that is meaningless if customers don&#8217;t ultimately use the workshop that the system recommends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What matters most is that it&#8217;s easy for the customer to select the workshop we recommend and that the process is smooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the customer has completed the digital inspection, they immediately see which workshop we&#8217;ve recommended  to repair their car. If the customer wants to choose a different workshop, they can do so manually, but in 90% of cases the customer continues with the recommended workshop. It&#8217;s the easiest thing for them to do, and most customers want the process to be as simple as possible to get their car repaired. When they confirm our recommendation, they receive confirmation within 24 hours with a booked repair time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The result? Lower costs, less admin and happier customers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Workshop allocation, together with the infrastructure that makes the process more user-friendly, is instrumental in delivering the results our customers have had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The average claim cost decreases by up to 15% when cases go to the more cost-effective workshops. Environmental impact drops by up to 150\u00a0kg CO<sub>2<\/sub> per case, and most of that reduction comes from repairs being completed at workshops that repair parts and use used parts more often.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, the administrative burden on your claims managers and insurance engineers is reduced. Since more cases are processed by workshops that submit good cost estimates, insurance engineers can approve the estimates faster \u2014 in many cases automatically.
